Though this tiny object probably doesn’t weigh much, its impact can be lethal. Deadly even.
It can change the course of a galaxy, a nation, a city, or a single person. It has the power to create or destroy within seconds. It may very well be the most influential object of all time. It has no brain, but it can definitely have a mind of its own…the TONGUE.
Once words go out, they cannot be taken back.
The Bible couldn’t be more precise about this little instrument. Take a moment to soak up these startling truths:
“For whoever would love life and see good days must keep their tongue from evil and their lips from deceitful speech.” 1 Pet 3:10
“But I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgement.” Matt 12:36
“The soothing tongue is a tree of life, but a perverse tongue crushes the spirit.” Prov 15:4
