This series is for the Moms!
In honor of Mothers, this May will be chock full of real stories of Motherhood. Join me as I feature different Moms each week, who will so graciously be sharing their life in words.
A role often taken for granted. A job that never ends. A devotion that involves the will and all the emotions. We are Moms…

I was feeling so much anticipation and excitement as I filled my roster with questions for the 20+ Moms who would be featured on this month-long project. Some of the women have been doing this Mom thing for 5 decades – that’s right; 50 years! There are a variety of cultures, ages, and backgrounds to glean from. There is so much value and insight throughout this series, that EVERYONE is guaranteed to receive something!
I have the honor of personally knowing mostly all of the beautiful women that have agreed to share their lives with us. For the others whom I don’t quite know as personally, I have observed their journey and values on social platforms and have felt warmed by their Mothering and their message.
If you have ever had a support person or circle that you can turn to in order to vent, cry, or ask questions – then you get what this is about.
If perhaps you’ve never had such a support circle, then you are the heartbeat of this entire series and the reason why I felt compelled to do this.
This is for the Moms. Real Stories. Real overcoming.
There is something that gives us the wind to stay afloat when we hear the authentic experiences of others. We realize that we aren’t as alone as we may believe. Equally, when we are able to reflect and give an account of our own journey, we realize how far we have come, and how much we have learned.
It’s true. Many moms face depression, loneliness, isolation, and tons of guilt and shame in feeling they don’t “measure up”.
Connection and support are vital to our growth and survival as humans and as Women. I have met many (myself included at one point) who were going through the trenches and carrying loads solo.
In the past two years, God has been freeing me from unhealthy conditioning and fear that imprisoned me EVEN in regard to being a Mother.
If you are a Mother, biologically or by definition…then THIS IS FOR YOU.
It all begins May 1st…
Our stories are better together,
Hannah
I will definitely be following this post as I would love to hear other mothers’ experience. I have some experience in a couple of things you mentioned. Thanks for this!

This is a much needed platform. What I have discovered is that for so many reasons, women of all cultures have been led to believe that their roles in womanhood, marriage and motherhood were not as significant as being in some other career-oriented role. But, in my six decades of experience as a woman, wife, mother, I have come to know and understand that I was specifically called, purposed and equipped by God to fulfill these essential positions. The most enjoyable moments in life happens when we can understand and accept who we are; because it is only in this understanding and accepting of oneself that one becomes able to embrace her journey with pride and dignity. So “thank you” Hannah for providing the platform for all of us as women to be able to encourage one another.

Mom Martin, that was good! It is so true when you shared your discovery of women being led to believe that their roles as it pertains to womanhood, marriage, and motherhood not being as significant as career-oriented goals. I too lived under this falsehood and it had some really toxic fruit that started manifesting in my life. I’m so thankful for the Lord delivering me and that mindset and showing me the beauty and joy of our high calling! Thank you for sharing all this wisdom and insight.
