When our bodies fail, the days aren’t easy, and many people don’t understand the full extent of what it’s like living with illness, disease, and or chronic pain.
This battle of the flesh has impacted and even limited your daily ability to function.
Not only do we carry the physical pain when our bodies fail, but your heart feels discouraged, frustrated, and maybe even resentful that this has to be part of your story.
Sweet Friend, we serve a God who can reach down and heal our mortal bodies if He wills. Nevertheless, His strength is made perfect in your weakness.
However He may choose to answer – in this life or the life to come – remember that while our physical bodies are wasting away, our spirits are being renewed day by day. So do NOT give up. (2 Cor 4:16).
Set your aim on the building, healing, and renewal of your spirit above all else. God is with you and one day you will be FULLY made whole.
The late-night series is for the souls that need anchoring in the night hour, reach for and receive the rest of the Lord.
He hears every clamoring thought, every cry, every question. As you search your heart tonight, may He be found.
Set your heart on learning from Him and hearing how He wishes to use this circumstance for His glory.
Prayer: Lord God, today was hard. Most days are. I try to make the best of it, even in the midst of not quite understanding why my days have to be like this at all. Help me to grow in my awareness of Your presence, Your unending help, Your unwavering sovereignty, and Your profound power in the depths of my weakness. Reveal to me the ways that You are receiving glory from my story. May I ever live to serve You.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Now Rest,
Hannah
