Waiting is by far, one of the most excruciating things to do
The silence.
The stillness.
The unknown.
It really can be crazy making.
There is something that is rustling within us as we wait, that makes us want to move, to act. When we can do neither of these, or when doing them doesn’t change our circumstance, what exactly do we do?
We marinate.
Marinating in the wait is an art that consists of equal parts trust and maturity. One recognizes that waiting doesn’t necessarily imply the absence of movement.
There is something miraculous that happens when we are placed on God’s waiting list. We marinate.
We are marinating in our process.
Marinating in our capacity.
Marinating in our commitment and dedication.
Marinating in discipline.
Marinating in the wait stretches us, humbles us, expands our view, and adds depth to our spirits.
Waiting on the Lord renews our strength and seasons us in temperance.
The hidden blessing that flows as a result of marinating in the wait far outweighs the relief or satisfaction we experience from receiving the thing that we were actually waiting for. That “thing”, whatever it is, increases in value once we’ve had to wait for it – and SO DO WE.
We become better stewards and better students as a result of the processing (or “marinating”) that we have been submersed in during the wait.
And now, meet our Guest: Karen Mejeur
Joining me today to talk about marinating in the wait is Karen Mejeur. Karen – who is from Cape Cod – has been married for 17 years and has 2 boys, ages 15 and 14. God has poured so much into her through the years that she believes now is her time to be able to give back by pouring into others.
Moms pour out all they are and all they have for their children, and they need someone to come alongside them to refresh, encourage, and build them up. Karen feels that the Lord has called her to be a mom to moms (#themomsmom).
If she can help moms be emotionally healthy and strong, then she will be impacting their homes, their children, and their husbands. She believes healthy moms raise healthy children. Karen’s Coaching Program, “A 90 Day Guide on How to bring Transformation to your Family and Revitalize your Life”, empowers overwhelmed Moms who deal with constant demands to prioritize themselves so they can be the superwoman their family expects them to be.
She helps them learn to maintain peace in the midst of chaos and stress, better manage their time, and find purpose in the mundane.
